Professional Profile
Dr. Frank Wrobel, EurGeol (1136), is a Germany-based exploration geologist and registered Competent Person with more than 25 years of international experience in mineral exploration, resource evaluation, and 3D geological modelling. He is the Principal Geologist of Matara B.A. and Geoconsult SW; both independent consultancies delivering Competent Person services and bespoke geoscientific solutions to the global mining and raw materials industry.
His expertise covers magmatic-hydrothermal and sedimentary deposits, including base and precious metals, industrial minerals, and aggregates, with project experience worldwide. Frank has worked across the full project lifecycle β from greenfield exploration and field campaigns to resource estimation, audits, and expert witness assignments β applying internationally recognised reporting standards (JORC, PERC, NI 43-101, UN/CRIRSCO).
He is a registered European Geologist and a long-standing user of leading 3D modelling platforms, complemented by GIS-based site management solutions. Selected engagements include projects in the DRC, Myanmar, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Chile, and across the European Union, working with operators, juniors, and institutional clients. He combines hands-on geological field experience with rigorous geostatistical modelling to support exploration decisions, resource definition & managing exploration field campaigns.
